Obviously have disabled OB sync, but this doesn't seem to prevent the Digitakt from receiving clock/transport via the Navas midi thru port. Never had a single issue ?Īppreciate the response! I am hell bent on using audio over USB from the Digitakt to multitrack & use VST EQ & effects & whatnot. It was just sync'd via the Multiclock, along with a TR-8S & various hardware sequencers.

I would just say I wasn't using Overbridge & I didn't have the Digitakt connected to the computer at all - e.g. I can't help that much, as I no longer have my Digitakt.īut all I can say is that when I did, I just connected it via one of the DIN out ports on the Multiclock, hit play on Live & the Elektron started perfectlyĪlong all my other Midi clocked hardware ? No issues at all. It starts all my other boxes just fine with only an audio cable connecting it (presumably with a start message). But, would enabling USB midi mean that I need to have it connected via USB as well? Seems odd if so. Now, AFAIK most people just have the MC connected to their computer simply using an audio cable (sometimes a midi cable as well for midi forwarding).
#ERM MULTICLOCK WONT WORK MANUAL#
He said this was because the MC doesn't generate its own run/start messages (despite the manual suggesting that it does). I was advised by a guy at E-RM to enable USB midi on the Elektrons channel using the MCs midi mapper so that the Elektrons could receive run/start messages from Ableton. I'm running out of ideas!Īre there any known issues with the Digitakt/Digitone and the Multiclock? I'm fairly sure tonnes of people use these boxes together and I've seen no mention of a similar issue on any forum.Īnother question. I've tried without OB enabled and just sending audio from the main outputs of the Elektrons. I have both the Digitakt and Digitone VSTs set to "No Sync", and like I say, this works fine and I can stream the audio no bother whilst clocking the Elektrons from the multiclock VIA the Nava. I'm just using the overbridge VSTs in order to stream audio over usb into Ableton on separate tracks, freeing up inputs on my interface. As far as Overbridge is concerned, I'm running the latest software. They haven't even registered the new tempo, as the internal speed of the MC was 120 and my Ableton project was 132. Nava and Vector both behave but the Elektrons don't respond. I just tried clocking everything from the Multiclock's internal clock rather than using the VST within Ableton. I've tried sending both din and midi to the Elektron boxes to no avail. I THINK it has nothing to do with the individual channel settings on the Multiclock. I know that it has nothing to do with any of the cables, I've tested them all. I know it's not the port on the MC because I've tested it and it clocks my other equipment perfectly. I have clocked them from the Nava/Modular no problem. I know the Digitakt/Digitone are set up correctly to receive clock/run messages/pgm change. The confusing thing is that if I take midi out of the Nava's midi thru port (which effectively is still coming from the MC), that clocks the Digitakt/Digitone just fine. MC channel 1 clocks my Vector sequencer, MC channel 2 clocks my Nava 909, and channels 3 and 4 were supposed to be clocking the Elektrons - except that doesn't work. But as of yet I've been unable to get my two Elektron boxes (Digitakt & Digitone) to acknowledge the incoming midi from the MC. So I recently took the plunge and got myself a Multiclock. Particularly those who use their Multiclock with either a Digitakt or a Digitone. I wonder if the good people on MW can help me.

Make sure you are sending that sample and that sample only sample out to a single output then plugging into E-RM analog input. I program the sequence then double it (2x) in sequence parameters. I also tried using ERM as master, but the BPC counter in the MPC does not change, although it does keep in sync. I recently tried programming a click track using ERM's sample with note repeat in all it's divisions but still unable to get the multiclock to sync. I'm pretty sure I tried that, but to no avail. It will follow tempo shifts very smoothly.įorgive my ignorance, but how do i program"32 note triplets doubled"?ĭoes that mean programming a line using note repeat 1/64(3) ? Syncs as designed when you do what it expects. Using the sample provided by erm, you'll have to make the following-Ģ4ppqn = 1 beat of 32 note triplets doubled. I have it syncing to both my MPC's with no issues.
